Women’s Foundation Commends Governor Nixon for Advancing Issue of PARENTAL Leave

Jefferson City, MO– Wendy Doyle, President & CEO of Women’s Foundation, today released the following statement regarding Missouri Governor Jay Nixon’s State of the State Address. 

“Women’s Foundation commends Governor Nixon for advancing the issue of parental leave in Missouri.  Parental leave is a vital issue facing women and their families as we have seen in our Missouri research.  
Women’s Foundation is proud of the work we have done with Governor Nixon to eliminate workplace barriers for women and their families, including Equal Pay Executive Order 15-09. We continue to work for change with the Governor and the Missouri General Assembly to ensure important issues like equal pay and parental leave are addressed to create equity and opportunity for women of all ages."
