The Women's Foundation believes women deserve equal pay for equal work and is committed to closing the gender pay gap for women and their families. Removing this barrier will allow economically self-sufficient women to lead the next chapter of economic growth.
EQUAL PAY BEST PRACTICE GUIDELINES
In late 2014, the Women’s Foundation announced initial findings from a comprehensive statewide research project with the University of Missouri that showed women in Missouri are paid only 71 cents to the dollar men make. In efforts to close the gender pay gap, Women's Foundation has developed equal pay best practices in partnership with the University of Missouri.

EXECUTIVE ORDER #15-09
On December 4, 2015, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon signed Executive Order #15-09, to promote gender pay equity in the workplace by directing state agencies and encouraging private sector organizations to use best practice guidelines to identify and address gender wage gaps.
